The Performance Welding Y Pipe was designed as an exhaust system to provide additional scavenging, and to balance out the pulses on a V8 engine. This Final Y in the exhaust system is sized to your current Merge Collector, Exhaust and Engine specifications. Unlike an X pipe, this Y Pipe system is designed more accurately as we are able to size the area of the large 2 into 1 Merge Collector. By changing this area, as changing the area of the throat of the Merge Collector, we are able to fine tune your exhaust system, balance the pulses on the V8 engine, and provide additional scavenging. This system is an exclusive Performance Welding design and is used on our own record holding NHRA Stock Eliminator Race Car. This complete stainless steel kit comes with 2 U bends, Straight Tube, Springs and Tabs, and our exclusive 2 into 1 Merge Collector with megaphone sized for your application.
